Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in Jefferson City, MO is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to build products on the production line using prints, wiring diagrams and work instructions. The role requires hand and power tool use, and the ability to follow safety and quality protocols while meeting production schedules.

Shift is 10:00PM–6:00AM, Monday through Friday with mandatory Saturday overtime. Base pay is $25.59/hour, with a $5.00 overtime differential and total differential up to $30.59/hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Production experience in a make-to-order assembly role preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, wiring diagrams and CAD models.

Responsibilities

• Assemble units using manual and powered hand tools per specifications.
• Measure, cut, fit and insulate piping as required.
• Read blueprints, work instructions and wiring diagrams to build or modify units.
• Complete quality and production checklists and processes.
• Enter information in Windows-based and CAD systems; keep area tidy.
• Operate overhead hoists and powered industrial trucks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for utilizing prints, work instructions and wiring diagrams in order to assemble product on the production line. This may include the use of power tools, hand tools, overhead hoists and fixtures to complete assembly and transport material to and from the work station. Mechanical Assemblers are responsible for adhering to all safety and quality requirements while meeting production schedule demands.

Hours:10:00PM – 6:00AM Mon-Fri (Saturday Overtime Mandatory)

Base Pay $25.59 With Differential $30.59/hour

Shift Differential: $5.00

Key Responsibilities

• Using various manual and powered hand tools to assemble units according to customer specifications.
• Ability to measure, cut, fit, and insulate water piping assembly.
• Reads blueprints work instructions, and wiring diagrams to build or modify units.
• Ensure completion of Quality and Production checklists/processes.
• Use computer to access and enter information including Windows based and CAD platforms. Keeps work area neat, clean and orderly.
• Operate overhead hoists, manual hand trucks, and powered industrial trucks when required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
