Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, a leader in enabling technologies across aerospace, defense, and medical research, is seeking a hands-on assembler for Teledyne Relays in Hawthorne, CA. You’ll contribute to mission-critical electronics by assembling small components, inspecting solder joints, and adjusting relays using a microscope.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of mechanical assembly experience, reads drawings, and communicates effectively with team leads.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2–4 years mechanical assembly experience required.
  • IPC J-STD-001 Inspector (CIS) certification preferred (Space level).

Responsibilities

  • Work with a microscope to assemble small components.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings and procedures.
  • Perform semi-routine assignments with general and detailed instructions.
  • Visually inspect solder joints, wiring and staking per IPC J-STD-001.
  • Assemble small components using a microscope.
  • Adjust and test relays or switches and other electronics.

Job Description

What You’ll Do
  • Ability to work with a microscope
  • Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and procedures
  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature. Normally receives general instructions on routine assignments and detailed instructions on new assignments.
  • Visual inspection of solder joints, wiring & staking to IPC J-STD-001
  • Assembly of small components using a microscope
  • Adjustment of Relays or Switches or other electronics
  • Testing of Relays or Switches or other electronics
What You Need
  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • 2 to 4 years of mechanical assembly experience (required)
  • Preference to individual with current or previous certification as an IPC J-STD-001 Inspector (CIS) up to Space level
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents and operation procedures.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively to Lead, Supervisor, Customers (as required) and colleagues
  • Must have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished via written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with or assist in problem solving.
  • Must have good eye-hand coordination - dexterity to assemble small parts

$39,000.00-$52,000.000
