Fives North American Combustion, Inc. in Cleveland, OH is hiring a Mechanical Assembler to join our team.

You will build custom valve and pipe trains, read mechanical drawings, wire components, and interface with ERP/MRP systems to ensure quality and timely delivery. This permanent on-site role requires mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building custom valve and pipe trains.
• Ability to understand detailed mechanical layout drawings and electrical schematic drawings.
• Mechanical aptitude to recognize design issues before they become rework.
• Experience using basic electric/pneumatic hand tools and small machinery.

Responsibilities

• Comply with company safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Adhere to quality standards, ensuring assemblies meet or exceed requirements.
• Build custom combustion fuel flow control trains, consisting of piping, valves, and instrumentation.
• Pull parts from inventory based on bills of material and work with purchasing to resolve missing parts.
• Assemble mechanical and electrical aspects per mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Pipe sizes vary from 1" threaded to 8" welded spools requiring use of overhead cranes to maneuver.
• Fabricate and install tubing to support mechanical instruments.
• Wire electrical instruments to electrical junction boxes.
• Conduct pressure testing of final assembly.
• Prepare manufacturing and testing reports.
• Document changes and corrections to any and all drawings, descriptions, bills of material, etc.
• Perform general inventory management functions as needed, including receiving and shipping tasks.
