Job summary

Ralliant is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to support assembly in explosive handling areas with on-the-job training provided. You will follow drawings, verbal and written instructions and perform inert and subassembly work while adhering to safety protocols.

Typical shifts are Monday–Thursday 6am to 4:30pm, with lift requirements up to 50 lbs. Benefits include PTO, 401K and health coverage.

Qualifications

• No formal education required for this position, but opportunities exist to advance.
• Minimum 1–2 years of industry assembly work experience.
• Soldering or welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work under direct supervision and perform inert assembly operations.
• Weigh and press inert & energetic materials; set up and use analytical balance.
• Assemble sub-assemblies, install parts, and perform basic cabling or tinning.
• Follow drawings and instructions; maintain safety in explosive handling areas.
• Attend offsite training to maintain certifications (e.g., JSTD).

Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Department:

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Assembler you can expect to be our go-to for driving continuous improvement in the operations and assembly process. Will provide on the job training (OJT). All work is performed in explosive handling areas.

• Work under direct supervision.
• Weigh and press inert & energetic materials.
• Set up and use analytical balance.
• Perform inert assembly operations.
• Minor cabling, potting, tinning and assembly work.
• Set up and use powder press for pressing operation.
• Some minor set-up capability for specific equipment.
• May have some basic soldering experience.
• Performs various production assembly operations on components and subassemblies.
• Uses visual aids, drawings and verbal and written instruction to assemble, modify, re-work or re-assemble units. Receives detailed instruction on new assignments.
• Install sub-assemblies.
• Must display proficient dexterity to insure safe handling of explosive devices.
• All work is performed in explosive handling areas.
• If required, attend offsite training classes to maintain certification requirements. (i.e., JSTD).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
