RiseUp Group is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to maintain, repair, install and improve mechanical machinery used in its confectionery manufacturing facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The role focuses on attending to breakdowns, performing preventative maintenance, inspecting equipment, and ensuring production machinery runs safely and efficiently.

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills are essential to minimise downtime and support continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Attend to mechanical breakdowns on production machinery.
• Conduct preventative mechanical maintenance.
• Inspect machinery for wear, damage and potential failures.
• Repair and replace bearings, shafts, chains, sprockets, belts, seals and other mechanical components.
• Assist with maintenance of conveyors, pumps, gearboxes and production equipment.
• Assist with machinery installation and commissioning.
• Perform alignment, lubrication and adjustment of equipment.
• Carry out basic fabrication and machining work where appropriately skilled.
• Identify recurring mechanical problems and recommend corrective action.
• Maintain maintenance records.
• Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.
• Assist with machinery changeovers and production setup.
• Respond promptly to production breakdowns.
• Follow factory safety procedures and machine-isolation requirements.
• Maintain good housekeeping in maintenance areas.
• Support engineering improvement projects

Job description

Our client, is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to maintain, repair, install, and improve mechanical machinery and equipment within its production facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for attending to mechanical breakdowns, conducting preventative maintenance, inspecting equipment, and ensuring that production machinery operates safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate must have strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills, with the ability to minimise machinery downtime, support production requirements, and contribute to ongoing engineering and maintenance improvements.
