Confidential Career Opportunity in Southeast Michigan seeks a Mechanical Applications Engineer to translate customer needs into custom machinery. This on-site role blends mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and technical estimating to drive equipment development from concept to quote.

You’ll review RFQs, collaborate across engineering and sales, and help shape proposals that meet performance, quality, and timeline goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical/manufacturing/applications engineering experience.
• Ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, and specs.
• Experience with manufacturing processes, machining, automation, or custom machinery.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication with customers and internal teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable in a collaborative, fast‑paced engineering environment.

Responsabilités

• Review RFQs, specs, drawings, and manufacturing requirements.
• Develop technical proposals and quotations for custom machinery.
• Evaluate processes, machine capabilities, tooling, and production considerations.
• Collaborate with design, controls, sales, and manufacturing teams.
• Assist with estimating equipment costs, project requirements, and timelines.
• Identify technical challenges and propose efficiency improvements.
• Clarify project specifications with customers and stakeholders.
• Support preliminary concepts and process development.
• Ensure proposals reflect requirements and scope.
• Participate in technical discussions during proposal and project development.
