Job summary

CAREL is seeking a Mechanical Application Specialist - Humidification in Roswell, GA to lead and support technical efforts for the North American Humidification market. You will collaborate with regional managers, consultants, and reps to drive adoption of CAREL humidification solutions in commercial and light industrial projects.

Ideal candidates have an engineering/technological degree with HVAC/R background, strong communication skills, and experience with high-efficiency control solutions.

Qualifications

• Good verbal, written, and presentation communication skills; bilingual a plus.
• Technical and industry knowledge; willingness to pursue training opportunities.
• Experience with high-efficiency control solutions for commercial applications.
• Proficiency with electronics, electrical circuits and mechanical systems; MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support technical efforts for North American Humidification market.
• Review blueprints and documents to assist quotations and submittals.
• Develop competitive product comparisons and monitor market trends.
• Contribute to product strategy, development, and manufacturing coordination.
• Organize technical training for customers and reps; deliver trainings and webinars.
• Travel to customer facilities as needed to learn applications and assist with implementation.
• Represent CAREL at trade shows and marketing events.

SUMMARY

Reporting to the HVAC Solutions Marketing Manager and working in collaboration with Regional Sales Managers and the Manufacturers Rep Network, the Application Specialist's primary function is to lead and support technical efforts and project activities for the North American Humidification market. Provides technical support through application expertise in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, primarily and with secondary responsibility to Central and South America. Promotes CAREL as a thought leader in the field of commercial Humidification design and energy-efficient solutions for commercial and light industrial Humidification projects. Identifies needs of the customers and North, Central and South American market, providing input to the corporate and local Marketing and Engineering team, to drive the Humidification product market forward.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with RSMs, engineering consultants, Reps, and other key customers/stakeholders,well as end-users to drive adoption of CAREL Humidification solutions.
• Review blueprints, plans, and other customer documents to assist in the preparation of quotations and submittals as required.
• Produce competitive comparisons of products with key competitors. Understand the competitive industry landscape, while keeping CAREL teams informed of trends and changes.
• Participate in overall product strategy, development, and manufacturing coordination for new markets and opportunities.
• Collaborate with CAREL internal teams to organize technical product training to key customers such as Reps, contractors, end-users, and others. Present product training, webinars, technical meetings, etc.
• Travel , if needed, to customer facilities to learn customer applications and assist with implementation of CAREL Humidifiers
• Provide key participation in trade shows and other high-profile marketing events. Represent CAREL and CAREL’s products and services to the industry.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed by the HVAC Solutions Marketing Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

• EDUCATION - Engineering/Technology Degree with HVAC/R background/experience or equivalent.
• LANGUAGE SKILLS - Good verbal, written, and presentation communication skills for sharing technical information. Bilingual abilities are a plus.
• REASONING SKILLS - Technical and industry knowledge and reasoning. Assesses own strengths and weaknesses; Pursues training and development opportunities; Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills; Shares expertise with others.
• EXPERIENCE - Experience with high-efficiency control solutions for commercial refrigeration applications and proven field service experience are preferred.
• COMPETENCIES - Practical skills and knowledge of electronics, electrical circuits, and mechanical systems as applicable to the HVAC/R industry. PowerPoint, Excel, Word. Demonstrated self-motivation resulting in a high degree of performance without constant supervision.
