Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a specialist training provider to recruit a Mechanical AP Trainer in York. You will start by delivering Mechanical AP training and progress to become a fully qualified trainer, with regular travel to Livingston and some overnight stays.

The role focuses on boilers and pressure systems, with full training provided. No teaching experience required, but experience as a Mechanical AP is essential. Salary £42,000–£46,000 plus benefits.

Are you an experienced Mechanical Authorised Person with experience working with boilers and pressure systems?

Do you want to step off the tools and move into a technical training role where you will receive full training and development to become a qualified Trainer?

The company are a specialist technical training provider delivering high-quality training across a range of engineering disciplines. Due to continued growth, they are looking to expand their training team in York and develop experienced industry professionals into highly skilled technical Trainers.

In this role, you will initially focus on delivering Mechanical AP training, covering the safe management and isolation of boilers, pressure systems and associated mechanical equipment. You will deliver a mixture of classroom and practical training and, as you develop, have the opportunity to broaden your technical knowledge across additional disciplines. The role will be primarily based in York, with regular travel to their Livingston training centre, including some overnight stays.

The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Authorised Person background with strong experience working with boilers, pressure systems, mechanical isolations and safe systems of work. You do not need any previous teaching or training experience, as full training will be provided, but you must be happy to travel to Livingston when required.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Authorised Person to step off the tools, use their industry knowledge to develop the next generation of engineers and build a long-term career in technical training.
