Job summary

Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Bucyrus, OH

Role Overview

As a Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineer you will work with a team of design engineers and report to the Engineering Manager. Responsibilities include:

• Complete mechanical and electrical design of equipment, spending the majority of your time on design work
• Make modifications to existing designs based on customer requests
• Ensure design and electrical documentation is accurate to UL and NEC standards
• Document bill of materials on the design project
• Support the sales and quoting process
• Complete and document ECNs (engineering change notices)
• Supply needed support to production and vendors related to design and manufacturability
• Participate in weekly design status meetings
• Support mechanical troubleshooting as needed
• Utilize AutoCAD and 3D modeling software
• Other duties as directed by management

Qualifications

1. High school diploma; a Bachelor's degree is preferred
2. 4–8 years of experience in a similar Design Engineer role at a heavy equipment manufacturer or OEM
3. Mechanical design experience (structural, conveyors, etc.)
