Job summary

HEICO seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design, build, troubleshoot, repair, and modify specialized test systems and fixtures, plus assembly and inspection tooling from schematics or instructions. You will drive NPI efforts and provide expertise on mechanical design throughout projects.

Responsibilities include developing drafting skills, understanding electromechanical concepts, and completing test documentation to certify results, with experience in hydraulic/pneumatic equipment beneficial.

Overview Of The Position

Provide engineering design, build, troubleshoot, repair, and / or modify an array of specialized test systems and fixtures, and assembly and inspection tooling from schematics and/or written instructions (specific or inferred). The Mechanical Engineer has the responsibility and authority to perform assigned tasks.

• Develop mechanical design and drafting skills, including basic machining knowledge as applicable. Be key focus and provide expertise on new product introduction.
• Develop electromechanical skills to include understanding and use of switches and sensors, application and measurement of mechanical load and position.
• Complete appropriate test documentation and certifying to test results.
• Experience with hydraulic or pneumatic equipment and techniques.
• Other duties may also be assigned.
