Job description

We are seeking a Millwright / Machinist to join our maintenance team at the Misericordia Community Hospital. The successful candidate will work on campus maintaining equipment such as pumps, motors, fans, and kitchen appliances to ensure smooth daily operations. Please note: Classifications Under Review.

Description:

The Mechanic/Welder is responsible for demand and preventative maintenance, as well as installation and modifications of mechanical systems and equipment. This role is governed by the CUPE 2111 Collective Agreement.

Qualifications:

Must be a registered apprentice, Alberta-certified journeyperson, or hold a recognized credential in Millwright/Welder trades.

Additional Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years as a Journeyman Millwright / Industrial Mechanic. Experience in healthcare or similar commercial settings is required. Advanced knowledge of rebuilding pumps, motors, and fans is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of kitchen equipment repair and hospital beds (Hill-Rom / Stryker) is an asset.
