Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service seeks a Mechanic/Vehicle Technician for our Saint Cloud, MN location. You will diagnose and repair gasoline engines, powertrain components, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical systems, and diesel emission systems.

We offer a $10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time staff. Shift options include Mon-Thu or Tue-Fri from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM, or Mon-Thu 8:00 PM–6:00 AM. Pay ranges $20–$33 per hour with $2 shift differential and overtime paid after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years technical instruction in diesel or auto mechanics is preferred.
• Welding and torch experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle or be willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Use scan tool and laptop technology.
• Follow reasonable instructions from shift leader.
• Work independently and/or with team.
• Perform routine truck inspections and maintenance of fleet equipment.
• Help maintain an effective and clean work environment.
• Must have own tools or ability to obtain own tools to complete all job functions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Mechanic/Vehicle Technician will diagnose and repair gasoline engines and other powertrain components, hydraulic brakes, steering and suspension systems, electrical systems, and diesel emission systems.

Hours and Wages

  • Monday-Thursday OR Tuesday-Friday, 3:00PM-1:00AM

• $20.00-$33.00 per hour, based on experience

• Occasional Saturdays, as needed for full-time


• Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week

• Work environment involves ability to bend, kneel, crouch, walk, and drive


• Work environment may involve hazards such as diesel exhaust, brake dust, grease, antifreeze, and other elements associated with vehicle repair
