Job summary

3M in Menomonie, WI is seeking a Mechanic Technician to join a structured rotating shift, mainly day work with occasional afternoons and nights. The role offers starting pay from $37.53 to $39.05 per hour plus a $2.00 night differential and Sunday double-time.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree or near-completion within 6 months in mechanical maintenance or related field including Mechatronics/Automation.
• One-year technical diploma in mechanical maintenance with 2+ years of maintenance experience.
• High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of maintenance/mechanic experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and systems on slitters, extruders, web systems, conveyors, winders, compressors and pumps.
• Machine and fabricate parts.
• Weld, braze, rig and tram equipment and perform general building repairs.
• Document completed work in an electronic logbook.
