UT Parking and Transportation Services is responsible for the management of over 17,000 parking spaces on campus, including 12 parking garages and more than 50 surface parking lots. Our operations include the distribution and regulation of daily, permitted, and event parking, as well as the maintenance of parking lots and garages. Provide journey level work in one or more disciplines of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and painting. Provide additional support performing other maintenance duties outside of your primary field including, but not limited to, repairing poles, gates, and various other maintenance tasks. May be required to work weekends, evening, comp/overtime. TX driver’s license required. Must be qualified to operate UT vehicle and maintain acceptable driving qualifications through the University's driver education program. Must work at least two home football games every year and one additional game every other year. Cell phone required.
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three-year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
$47,000 depending on qualifications + paid overtime
Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Regular staff who have been employed in their current position for the last six continuous months are eligible for openings being recruited for through University-Wide or Open Recruiting, to include both promotional opportunities and lateral transfers. Staff who are promotion/transfer eligible may apply for positions without supervisor approval.
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
