Job summary

CRH is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to repair and maintain construction equipment and mechanical equipment such as trucks, bulldozers, excavators, and engines. The role involves diagnosing problems, replacing defective parts, and performing preventative maintenance.

This swing shift runs from 12 noon to 10:30pm. Candidates must read manuals, use basic math, have a valid driver's license, and work well in a team. CRH offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
  • Ability to work well with others in team or one-on-one settings.
  • Ability to perform basic math with measurements.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots problems, making economical and durable repairs.
  • Dismantles devices to access defective parts using hoists and hand tools.
  • Maintains and repairs heavy equipment, trucks, shop and non-mobile equipment.
  • Services vehicles/equipment including oil changes, greasing, fluids, and filters; maintains preventive maintenance.
  • Orders parts and supplies; handles purchase orders and invoices; uses computer for job functions.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts and tests performance.
  • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.

Position Overview

Repairs and maintains construction equipment and mechanical equipment such as trucks, trailers, , bulldozers, excavators, motor graders, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and other equipment by performing the following duties.

*Swing shift schedule from 12 noon until 10:30pm*

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties And Functions)
  • Troubleshoots problems, making economical and durable repairs.
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools.
  • Maintains and repairs heavy equipment, trucks, shop, and non-mobile equipment on a company-wide basis.
  • Services vehicles/equipment to include oil changes, greasing, adding fluids, changing filters and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules. Troubleshoots and repairs electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, drive trains, etc.
  • Orders parts and supplies. Maintains purchase orders and invoices. Operates computer for job functions.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts.
  • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Starts devices to test their performance.
  • Welds broken parts and structural members.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • May be subject to drug testing, medical exams and physical agilities testing.

Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Work Requirements
