Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for our Ft. Worth, TX plant. You will maintain, repair, and troubleshoot a broad range of manufacturing equipment, reading blueprints and following electrical and safety standards.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting with installation and repair of electrical components. Safety and teamwork are emphasized in this role.

Qualifications

  • Certification or associate's degree in industrial maintenance or equivalent, or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience performing basic preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints is preferred.
  • Basic troubleshooting experience or willingness to learn.
  • Must be able to work 1st shift and overtime/weekends as needed.

  • Determine causes of maintenance problems and perform preventative and corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot operating issues, consult schematics, and order parts.

Job description

Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is searching for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for our plant located in Ft. Worth, TX. As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic at Meyer Utility Structures, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of a wide variety of manufacturing equipment. Meyer Utility Structures is an industry leader in the engineering design and fabrication of concrete and tubular steel structures for transmission, distribution, and substation applications. With over sixty years of innovative engineering and manufacturing expertise, Meyer has helped to author and validate many of today’s transmission industry standards and specifications.

What You’ll Do
  • Use hand tools, small/power tools and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks.
  • Determine causes of general maintenance problems in areas including, preventative maintenance and electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs to production and mechanical equipment, machinery and components.
  • Troubleshoot operating issues; consult schematics and order replacement parts.
  • Assist with the install and repair of electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications using electrical and electronic test equipment.
  • Follow all safety rules and practices.
  • May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
What You’ll Need
  • A certification or associate\'s degree in industrial maintenance, equivalent degree or certification, or a minimum of 2 years of relevant and applicable experience in a maintenance position in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
  • Experience performing basic preventative maintenance and repairs for general work areas and production equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints is preferred.
  • Basic troubleshooting experience or willingness to learn.
  • Mechanically inclined and the ability to follow instruction.
  • Ability to work 1st shift hours; available for weekends and over-time as needed.
  • Experience with AccuPress, Kinetic, and/or Alltra machinery is highly preferred, but not required.
  • A high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal.
