Job summary

County of McPherson is seeking a full‑time Mechanic in Public Works to maintain county vehicles and heavy equipment. Requires prior mechanic experience or vocational training, with the ability to furnish basic tools and operate trucks and other heavy machinery.

A valid Kansas driver’s license is required; the candidate must also submit to the County Drug and Alcohol program. Beginning hourly wage is $21.40 or higher, with full benefits and annual increases. Open until filled.
