Job summary

Heartland Fabrication is seeking an experienced mechanic to maintain and repair a variety of equipment in a manufacturing setting. You will inspect, diagnose, fix, and rebuild components, and implement preventative maintenance practices to minimize downtime.

This role requires physical capability to lift 60 pounds, work in indoor/outdoor environments, and ascend to heights as needed. A high school diploma or GED is required, with at least 3 years in manufacturing preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
At least 3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a factory environment.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot/diagnose equipment failure and perform repairs.
Work around operating equipment to identify probable failures.
Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
Install and dismantle machinery per plans, including working at heights.
Determine parts required for repairs and replacements.
Operate lathes, welders, milling machines, drills, grinders, and other power tools.
Inspect and replace drive components, pumps, valves, conveyors, and related systems.
Rebuild equipment such as compressors and gearings as needed.
