Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand repair manuals, understanding and ability to complete/fill tags and repair orders.
• Ability to use and learn various diagnostic software used on tractor/trailers.
• Must possess excellent computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on tractors, trailers, refrigerated units, and support equipment.
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment.
• Disassemble/repair heavy truck and trailer components, including but not limited to refrigerant units, diesel engines, transmissions, axles.
• Assist shop personnel to create a cohesive and well-rounded shop environment centered around learning.
• May perform tire maintenance, including repairs and identification.
• May test drive equipment if certified.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Provide daily oversight to assigned mechanics to ensure productivity and quality goals.
• Provide guidance to mechanics related to diagnostics and repair procedures.
• Support the organization’s objectives.

Pay Range: $27.69 - $38.07 Hourly

Job Responsibilities: What you will do

Complete a quality preventative maintenance inspection and repairs on all company owned equipment, to include tractors, trailers, refrigerated units and support equipment. May perform lead mechanic duties.

• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to appropriate specifications (OEM, DOT, company, etc.).
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform minor and/or complex repairs for all equipment.
• Disassemble, repair and re-assemble of Heavy Truck and Trailer components; including but not limited to; refrigerated units, diesel engines, transmissions, axles and any other components or systems.
• Assist any shop personnel as needed to create a cohesive and well-rounded shop environment centered around learning.
• May perform tire maintenance to include repairs, failure analysis, coding and identification.
• May be required to test drive equipment if certified.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• May provide daily oversight to assigned mechanics to ensure productivity and quality goals are achieved.
• May provide guidance to mechanics related to diagnostics and repair processes/procedures.
• Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.
