Job summary

Core Group Resources is seeking Marine Dredge Mechanics in Freeport, TX to maintain and repair hydraulic cutterhead dredges and related marine equipment in field conditions.

This hands-on role requires trouble-shooting diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems, the ability to travel across Texas and the Gulf Coast, and willingness to extend shifts as needed.

Applicants should bring 3+ years in dredging or marine maintenance and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in dredging, marine maintenance, heavy equipment, diesel mechanics, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, pumps, gearboxes, and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to diagnose equipment failures and perform repairs in field environments with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to travel throughout Texas and the Gulf Coast and remain out of town for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in marine and construction environments, including around water and in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work extended shifts of up to 12 hours when required.
