Job summary

Shiseido Americas in New Jersey is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic to support daily production packaging and manufacturing operations. Split shift hours are 10:30am-7:00pm to maintain continuous output and optimal equipment performance.

The role requires a strong mechanical background, 7+ years in GMP environments, PLC troubleshooting, and electrical/mechanical repair skills, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

7+ years in a GMP environment (cosmetic, personal care, pharmaceutical or related)
Mechanical background with repair expertise across mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Familiarity with bulk manufacturing/batching equipment
Electrical troubleshooting capability
PLC programming and troubleshooting knowledge
Basic machine shop equipment proficiency
Strong English communication and leadership skills

Responsibilities

Set up or changeover equipment to support daily manufacturing schedule
Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing vessels to minimize downtime
Perform preventative/predictive maintenance on batching equipment and document compliance
Support efforts to measure and improve OEE for vessels and equipment
Communicate effectively with peers and management to align with goals
Maintain safety certifications and training, including lock-out/tag-out
Perform other duties as assigned

Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic is to effectively support daily production packaging or manufacturing operations and to maintain equipment in proper working order. Split Shift working hours are 10:30am-7:00pm.

What You Will Do

You will perform set-ups or product changeovers of equipment when necessary to support the daily Manufacturing schedule.
You will troubleshoot and repair Manufacturing vessels in an efficient and safe manner as needed to minimize downtime.
You will perform preventative or predictive maintenance program for Bulk Manufacturing batching (compounding) equipment and complete necessary documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
You will support efforts to measure and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) for Manufacturing vessels and compounding equipment.
You will provide effective communication with peers and management, ensure company goals and objectives are supported.
You will facilitate and support a safe working environment and maintain all safety certifications and training requirements, including lock-out/tag-out.
You will perform other related duties as assigned.

Who You Are

You are a High School graduate with a trade school, vocational school, or apprentice program training.
You are experienced with 7+ years in a GMP environment required (cosmetic, personal care, pharmaceutical, food industry, or related consumer goods)
You have a mechanical background for mechanical repair, with advanced knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and equipment.
You have familiarity with bulk manufacturing (batching) equipment.
You have working knowledge for troubleshooting electrical systems.
You have working knowledge for PLC programming and troubleshooting.
You have a working knowledge of basic machine shop equipment.
You can communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
You are a positive leader with interpersonal skills
