Job summary

Shiseido Americas is seeking a Production Manager to execute the weekly production plan while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity goals in a GMP environment.

You will mentor staff, support supervisors, and drive continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, and efficiency, including OEE enhancements and cross-functional coordination with Quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • At least five years of experience managing a fast-paced GMP production environment.
  • Experience in the cosmetics or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Ability to build high-performing teams and deliver results.
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification; Green Belt preferred.
  • Ability to conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
  • Ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

The Production Manager executes the weekly production plan while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are met and all cGMP and OTC procedures are followed. This role drives operational excellence through continuous improvements in quality, efficiency, and team development, ensuring operations are performed effectively without compromising safety or quality.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • You will develop your direct reports through mentoring, constructive feedback, and training.
  • You will support supervisors in managing daily departmental activities.
  • You will lead projects that drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
  • You will participate in weekly OEE meetings and lead initiatives to improve OEE.
  • You will partner with the Quality department to resolve finished goods nonconformances and identify corrective actions.
  • You will identify and implement opportunities to improve RTFT.
WHO YOU ARE
  • You have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering.
  • You have at least five years of experience managing a fast-paced GMP production environment.
  • You have experience in the cosmetics or pharmaceutical industry.
  • You can build high-performing teams and deliver results.
  • You demonstrate strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • You hold a Lean Six Sigma certification; Green Belt certification is preferred.
  • You can conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
  • You can build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships.

Salary (Min-Max): $88,592.00-121,814.00

the base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as components of a total compensation package, including participation in our bonus program which features the ability to overachieve, in addition to a full range of competitive benefits.
