A leading mining equipment company is seeking a skilled Mechanic responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy-duty production equipment. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of experience and a high school diploma. This role requires a willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, ensuring the efficient operation of mining machinery. The compensation is competitive and includes opportunities for pay increases through a training program.
POSITION SUMMARY: The position is primarily responsible for conducting equipment set-up, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on heavy duty mine production equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to (80) eighty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than eighty (80) pounds. The employee must routinely inspect and/or work on heavy machinery, which may require them to climb up into engines or into the cabs of said machinery, of up to ten (10) feet in height. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
This position is required to work in an area that is dusty and that may expose an individual to occasional diesel fumes. In addition, work surfaces under feet may include solid concrete, be uneven, contain heaves, boulders, and other aggregate material that could cause unstable footing and that would require an individual to stand upon for at least eight (8) hours per day or at least forty (40) hours per week.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Mechanic Starting Pay Range is - $30.64/hr - $31.11/hr
