Job summary

VF Corporation in Jonestown, MS is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift (4:00 PM–2:30 AM) at our distribution center. You will perform maintenance and repair on equipment, read schematics, and apply diagnostic skills to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and certifications in electro-mechanical or machining trades.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and training certifications in electro-mechanical or machining trades preferred.
• 5+ years of related professional experience.
• Experience with ASRS shuttle systems, tilt tray and high-speed sortation, machine shop equipment and automated packaging machinery.
• Detail oriented with strong time-management and communication skills.
• Ability to climb and work at heights up to 45 feet; able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Follows all safety, attendance and security procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Responds to requests and performs maintenance tasks on equipment, applying diagnostic and root-cause analysis.
• Reads mechanical/electrical schematics and manuals to troubleshoot and repair systems.
• Collaborates with mechanics; shares knowledge and communicates with team and customers.
• Performs predictive and preventive maintenance to extend equipment life.
• Works with low voltage AC and DC systems up to 480V/3 phase.
• Uses hand tools, power tools, multimeters, scopes, and PC-based applications.
• Maintains a clean, orderly work area and performs related duties as assigned.

Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift):

Hours: Monday - Thursday; 4PM - 2:30AM

Under the general direction of the MaintenanceTeam Leader, this person will performasMaintenanceMechanic forour maintenance/machine shop ina variety of general, detailed, and highly technical maintenance and service functions on equipment, systems, and facilities at the distribution center.

• Follows all company safety, attendance and security proceduresand strives to provide a safe working environment for all associates.
• Responds torequests and job taskson all types of equipment and applies a high level ofdiagnostic and root causeanalysis fortroubleshooting.
• Works from mechanical and/or electrical schematic drawings, sketches, manuals, specifications, and written and/or oral instructions; understands equipment principles of operation; interacts with equipment vendors.
• Partners with allmechanics; shares technical knowledge; communicates with all team members and customers.
• Performspredictiveand preventive maintenance tasks on all equipment and facilities in accordance with established testing and tomaintain/extend useful lifeof all equipment.
• Works with low voltage AC and DC systems up to 480V/3 phase.
• Uses hand tools, power tools, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and other monitoring and testing equipment.
• Uses a PC proficiently for MSOffice, Notes, and other PC-based applications
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Educational/ PositionRequirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent and training certifications in electro-mechanical or machining trades a plus
• Preferred experience working with ASRS shuttle systems, tilt tray and other high-speed sortation,machine shop equipmentand automated packaging machinery.
• Must demonstrate ability to be very detailed oriented, organized, and effective at time management.
• Demonstrated ability to work with minimal direction; excellent oral/written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills
• Must have the ability to climb and work at heights of up to 45 feet
• Must have the ability to lift items up to 50 lbs.

Hiring Range:

$22.00 USD - $27.5 USD per hour

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, orcommissionpotential.
