* Up to $7,500 sign-on bonus for Mechanics

Dispersed over a 24-month period
  • 3 months - $1,000
  • 6 months - $1,000
  • 12 months - $1,500
  • 18 months - $1,500
  • 24 months - $2,500

Who You Are:

As a Mechanic, you willperform preventative maintenance, diagnosis, service and repair of steering, suspension, brakes, engines, transmissions, differentials, electrical, wheelchair lifts, and air conditioning systems. Successful applicants must be able to work safely, perform part analysis on damaged parts and assist in inventory control or other duties, as necessary.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Diagnoses, examines, and investigates vehicles to determine causes of defective operation of vehicle systems and components.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance of vehicles
  • Execute major and minor repairs of defective components.
  • Document all activities in MV's Fleet Management System.
  • Maintain work environment in an organized and safe condition.
  • Tracking transmission repairs
  • Repairing TSB repairs
  • Diagnose transmission that don't meet mileage and provide failure analysis
  • Install/remove transmission
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues
  • Work on PMI/and bumper to bumper areas
  • Monitor fleet issues to include electric and hybrid fleet





Qualifications




Talent Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Combination of at least five (5) years of apprentice level verifiable training and experience in automotive or diesel mechanics, which may include high school mechanics courses and/or a regional occupational program.
  • Four (4) ASE Certifications (must include preventive maintenance, brakes, electrical, and option for air conditioning or Engines H Series test)
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug testing.
  • Must have a valid CA Driver License and be willing and able to obtain a CDL license with passenger and airbrake endorsement.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Camp Pendleton Base Pass

Starting Pay Rate: $39.10/hour
