Job summary

MV Transportation is hiring an experienced Mechanic in Texas to perform preventative maintenance, diagnosis, service and repair of vehicle systems including steering, brakes, engines, transmissions, and wheelchair lifts.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of apprentice-level automotive/diesel training, with pre-employment drug screening. We offer 40-hour weeks, full benefits, paid vacation and 401(k).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years apprentice level verifiable training and experience in automotive or diesel mechanics.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, examines, and investigates vehicles to determine causes of defective operation of vehicle systems and components.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance of vehicles
• Execute major and minor repairs of defective components.
• Document all activities in MV’s Fleet Management System.
• Maintain work environment in an organized and safe condition.
