Job summary

MV Transportation in Butler, PA is seeking experienced mechanics to service CNG-powered buses in a clean, professional shop. This role includes paid training, ASE certification pay incentives, CDL training, and boot allowances, with a guaranteed 40-hour week and two consecutive days off.

The position entails diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, HVAC, and related components, using MV’s Fleet Management System.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Combination of at least five (5) years of apprentice level verifiable training and experience in automotive or diesel mechanics, which may include high school mechanics courses and/or a regional occupational program.
• CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement preferred. Candidates may obtain the endorsement through Company-sponsored training prior to completing their introductory period.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, examines, and investigates vehicles to determine causes of defective operation of vehicle systems and components.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance of vehicles
• Execute major and minor repairs of defective components.
• Document all activities in MV’s Fleet Management System.
• Maintain work environment in an organized and safe condition.
