Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of experience in mechanical test and assembly/disassembly or heavy equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Physically capable of pushing, pulling, lifting, bending and other tasks.
• Ability to interpret drawings, prints, and engineering specifications.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 8 years of experience in operations/service center operation applications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of natural gas engine and compressor equipment preferred.
• Ability to perform troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
• Ability to set up and run test operations following engineering specifications.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and good housekeeping requirements.
• Basic math skills and ability to read schematics.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

Job Overview:

As a Mechanic IV at Cooper Machinery Services, you will play a vital role in the disassembly, positioning, reassembly, testing, and painting of moderate to highly complex equipment. Your expertise in mechanical operations, adherence to safety protocols, and commitment to quality will be instrumental in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies and regulations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
• Utilize a wide range of mechanical tools and equipment to perform tasks related to equipment disassembly, assembly, and testing.
• Conduct Risk Assessments prior to performing operations and material movements.
• Complete all required business training and documentation.
• Ensure facility equipment and tooling are operational, efficient, and safe.
• Identify and report problems or hazardous conditions during equipment operations.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, and collaborative skills with team members.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Complete required documentation accurately.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
• 8 years of experience in mechanical test and assembly/disassembly or heavy equipment repairs and maintenance.
