Highway Transport is hiring a Mechanic III in Baton Rouge, LA, tasked with performing preventative maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers. You will ensure compliance with company and DOT standards, prioritize quality and safety, and maintain effective communication with drivers and clients.

Mechanic III’s are responsible for performing preventative maintenance and general repairs on tractors and trailers to comply with company and DOT standards. Mechanic III’s regard quality, safety, and equipment utilization as their primary focus. Mechanic III’s are the diagnostic and service providers for drivers and carrier clients and ensure their needs are met including effective communication on all repairs. Mechanic III’s are also responsible for supporting inventory control and providing accurate documentation. Mechanic III’s are relied on daily to aide others in keeping our fleet of trucks and trailers readily available and in top condition.
Location: Baton Rouge, LA (Geismar) Pay Range: $26.50 - $38.00 Shift Type: Sunday-Thursday (6am -2:30pm)
Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights more than 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds.
