Qualifications

• 5 years as a Service-Related Technician required.
• 4 years’ experience in an acute healthcare setting can replace HS diploma.
• Fourth-Grade Stationary Engineer's License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance of facility equipment mainly including Mechanical and Utilities systems.
• Maintain facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment.
• May require travel to perform necessary maintenance at other locations.

**Position Details:**

+ **Location:** South Florida Baptist Hospital – Plant City

+ **Status:** Full Time (non-exempt)

+ **Shift:** 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

+ **Days:** Tuesday - Saturday

The **Mechanic II** is a full-time position.

**Responsibilities**

+ Performs demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to primarily include Mechanical, Utilities and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes.

+ Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment.

+ May be scheduled to work various work shifts and weekends to meet the needs of the hospital not necessarily within the craft lines.

+ May require travel to perform necessary maintenance work at other BCHS facilities.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications**

**Education**

+ Required - High School or Equivalent

+ 4 years’ experience in an acute healthcare setting is acceptable in lieu of HSD/GED

**Certifications and Licensure**

+ Required - FL DL

**Experience**

+ Required - 5 years as a Service-Related Technician

+ 3 Years Hospital Maintenance is preferred

+ Preferred - 1 year high-rise mechanical or utilities systems

+ Preferred - Fourth-Grade Stationary Engineer's License
