Mechanic II - Limited Maintenance Electrician

Join us as a Mechanic II - Limited Maintenance Electrician at A-dec Inc.

Overview

The Facility Maintenance Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) Technician II performs routine maintenance across the facility, troubleshooting and resolving technical, mechanical, and electrical issues including HVAC, compressors, vacuum pumps, plumbing, carpentry, and lighting. Assistance with grounds maintenance may also be required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical and mechanical repairs with minimal supervision.
  • Troubleshoot electrical components up to 480V using multimeters, amp probes, circuit tracers, and megohm meters.
  • Assist in fabrication and department projects.
  • Lead and collaborate on maintenance projects to meet company needs.
  • Engage in continuous improvement efforts, focusing on permanent solutions.
  • Maintain maintenance records in a CMMS and manage supplies.
  • Cross-train on various equipment to serve as backup.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Follow ISO, OSHA, and DEQ standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Meet the qualifications of Facility LME Technician I-Apprentice.
  • Strong mechanical/electrical repair knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of control systems, electrical schematics, PLCs, relay logic.
  • Knowledge of NEC and Oregon Electric Code.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to learn CMMS software.
  • Ability to follow instructions and interpret manuals.
  • Proper use of hand and power tools.
Education and Experience
  • 5-7 years of facility maintenance experience, including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and fabrication, compliant with codes.
  • Current Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) license or equivalent.
  • HazMat certification (or to be obtained within first year).
  • Medical First Aid and Hazmat Certifications within 12 months.
  • Valid insurable driver’s license.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, manual dexterity for tools, and mobility to walk, stand, bend, and reach. Use PPE as needed in chemical, noise, vibration, or dust-exposed areas.
