Qualifications

$5,000 New Hire Sign on Bonus

Relocation: Assistance available

Tool Allowance: $300 per quarter

Boot Allowance: $300 per year

Shift: Mon-Fri (7:30am-4:30pm) and Saturdays on a rotating schedule (schedule subject to change based on site needs/must be flexible)

Pay: Starting at 28.00 per hour- BOE.

Required: 1 year of prior Heavy Equipment diesel maintenance experience on Yellow Iron (Dozer, Excavator, Front Loader). Valid Driver's License and must have a clean driving record.

Preferred: 3 years of experience with Computer Diagnostics on Yellow Iron (Dozers, Excavators, Front Loader), Class B CDL, ability to do PM's, Able to use SISWEB 2.0, Compass, Tablet, PROSIS, email. Order parts in Coupa. Remove major components for replacement or repair including undercarriage. .Have some ability to diagnose machine systems. A/C certified, torch and weld, able to work on other support equipment i.e.: Light towers, compressors, P/U trucks, etc

  • Preferred candidate will have a CDL, own set of tools with 3+ years experience working on heavy construction equipment by Cat, Volvo, John Deere and Class 8 trucks.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR POSITION. THIS POSITION REQUIRES MECHANICAL SKILLS (REPAIRS AND MAINENTANCE FOR YELLOW IRON EQUIPMENT).

I. Job Summary
Performs complex preventative maintenance tasks and troubleshoots and repairs a wide variety of equipment (Trucks and Yellow Iron).

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

  • Repairs as needed equipment (including, but not limited to, bulldozers, scrapers, backhoes, front end loaders, yard trucks.
  • Diagnoses and repairs differentials, hydraulic systems, motors, transmissions, drives, air conditioning systems, and electrical systems.
  • Performs tasks per preventative maintenance checklist.
  • Completes records such as work orders, card files, P.M. checklists, and oil samples.
  • Services and maintains other equipment such as light plants, water pump, welders, and other equipment.
  • Reference site-specific procedures and more detailed site-specific job descriptions.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

A. Education and Experience

  • Education: None required.
  • Experience: One (1) year prior Heavy Equipment diesel maintenance experience.

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and must have a clean driving record.

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

  • Skill in operating tools equipment, parts and procedures utilized during the repair and servicing of vehicles and equipment, skill in repair of special purpose equipment, ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks, ability to diagnose defects in and repair a variety of equipment and vehicles, ability to utilize fleet maintenance software program, and knowledge of Total Tire Maintenance Program may be required.
