MECHANIC I (Heavy Equipment)
Branch is searching for an entry‑level, safety‑oriented Mechanic to join our well‑established, growing company. The Mechanic I is responsible for assisting with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy construction equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, and haul trucks. The role works under close supervision of senior mechanics and supervisors to develop technical skills and ensure the safe and efficient operation of company‑owned equipment.
Minimal travel required; on‑call early/late hours to respond to job site emergencies. No supervisory responsibilities.

Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Frequent standing, talking and hearing. Occasional walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, tasting and smelling. Frequent lifting or moving up to 10 lbs. Occasionally lifting or moving up to 75 lbs. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Full‑time, 40+ hours a week. Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on‑call early/late hours to deal with delays, bad weather, and emergencies at the job site.
