Job description

SSC is hiring immediately for full-time MECHANIC I positions at various locations within the school district. The primary location is USF - 4202 East Fowler Avenue, Tampa, FL 33620. Online applications are accepted only.

Requirements: Prior mechanic experience preferred.

Pay Range: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Responds to dispatch calls for machine repairs using company vehicle.
• Inspects and repairs machinery, replacing worn parts and testing operation post-repair.
• Manages inventory, orders parts, and maintains equipment records.
• Operates mechanical tools and equipment safely.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Supports the department and exhibits professionalism.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
