Job Responsibilities:
- Repairs, maintains, overhauls, and assembles various machines, equipment, and building systems, including HVAC units, fan coils, pumps, motors, compressors, plumbing, electrical, and other building mechanical systems.
- Performs repairs and minor construction using carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, and painting skills.
- Assists with snow removal activities, including driving AMC vehicles to snowplow, distribute road salt, and shoveling sidewalks.
- Performs periodic preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections on machinery and systems, maintaining records of tests, calibrations, and inspections.
- Fabricates brackets, guards, parts, etc., using welders, power, and shop tools.
- Repairs, cleans, lubricates, and maintains equipment such as surgical tables, nurse call systems, medical gas systems, sterilizers, motors, pumps, compressors, and controls.
- Performs repairs and minor construction to buildings and facilities, including painting, plastering, masonry, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
- Maintains safety by following proper procedures and using power tools, shop tools, hand tools, and testing equipment safely.
- Works with blueprints, schematics, and shop drawings.
- Maintains inventory of spare parts and hardware, including drawings, schematics, parts lists, and operating instructions.
- Performs scheduled preventative maintenance and keeps detailed records of all maintenance activities.
- Performs mandatory overtime, on-call coverage, call-backs, and snow removal duties as required.
- Assists in scheduling and completing projects according to plans and specifications.
- Inspects and tests fire alarm systems, performs maintenance, and resets alarms.
- Performs air handler filter changes and periodic minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks.
- Adheres to AMC policies, safety regulations, and promotes good housekeeping practices.
- Attends annual asbestos training and participates in the asbestos team as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned or reallocated by management.
