Essential Functions:

- Work from blueprints, manuals, schedules, and instructions
- Set up and maintain equipment such as punch presses, conveyor systems, compo liners, curlers, and automatic tape machines
- Set tooling and make various equipment adjustments
- Operate equipment, run sample units, check units, and make required operating adjustments
- Instruct and assist operators as necessary
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment, diagnose problems, disassemble, determine the extent of repairs needed, requisition parts, assemble, test, and make repairs
- Maintain equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and maintaining automatic lube systems
- Monitor press line operations and check the quality of units produced
- Complete required maintenance records
Additional Responsibilities:
- Notify supervisor of unusual equipment or operational problems
- Assist in relieving operators for lunch and breaks
- Use various precision measuring instruments, hand and power tools, hand carts, and forklift trucks
- Follow safety rules and keep the work area clean and organized
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of repair procedures and equipment operation, equivalent to 1-2 years of applied trades training
- Ability to use mathematics and analyze complicated prints
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Ability to exercise judgment
- Compliance with quality, PPE, safety requirements, and understanding the importance of safety policies

Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions:
Inside conditions with extremes of heat (100+ seasonal), humidity, tight spaces, high noise levels, exposure to outside weather, oil, and dirt.
