Mechanic Helper-Industrial (Orlando, FL) - Austin Industrial

Job Title: Industrial Mechanic Helper

The Industrial Mechanic Helper assists the Mechanic who diagnoses mechanical failures and makes needed repairs to industrial mechanical equipment. Duties include providing mechanical support, preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting, and resolution of multiple operating machines within a manufacturing industrial environment. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting, repairs, and installation of industrial mechanical equipment.
• Support all tests, repairs, or installations of mechanical units such as water pumps, fuel pumps, governors, distributors, carburetor systems, brakes, clutches, and other devices.
• Replace bearings, chains, sprockets, and other machine parts.
• Rebuild pumps, cylinders, and mechanical equipment following standard procedures.
• Perform work wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air respirators, safety harnesses, sandblast hoods, fire-resistant coveralls, hard hats, ear plugs, and safety glasses.
• Maintain mobility and perform various physical tasks such as reaching, stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, squatting, climbing stairs, working at heights, and balancing for extended periods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of mechanical experience.

Must pass a drug screening as a condition of employment.

This is a full-time position, working 5/8's, with no per diem offered.
