Job Summary:

The Entry-Level Mechanic Helper plays a crucial role in supporting the maintenance team. This position requires an aptitude for mechanical work and a foundational understanding of internal combustion engines, power transmission, electronics, and hydraulic systems. The role is physically demanding and directly supports senior mechanics and overall company operations.

Major Job Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, oil sampling, greasing, and pressure washing equipment.
  2. Clean radiators and filter housings using compressed air and operate air compressors.
  3. Operate various vehicles and mobile equipment, including fuel trucks, lube trucks, forklifts, pumps, light towers, power tools, and hoists.
  4. Complete minor documentation tasks such as inspections, oil sample analysis, and maintenance reports.
  5. Perform extended manual labor, including lifting, shoveling, stocking shelves, sweeping, and general upkeep of the equipment and work area.
  6. Follow instructions, policies, and procedures as directed.
  7. Conduct minor equipment repairs, perform pre-start inspections, and check fluid levels to ensure equipment is safe and ready for operation.
  8. Carry out additional duties as assigned.
