Mechanic Helper (Finance)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Service and repair of all fleet vehicles.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including lube, oil change, replacing belts and hoses, inspecting brakes, repacking bearings, and checking tires on all vehicle sizes (must perform monthly).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, engine, and electrical issues/malfunctions on all vehicle sizes.
• Drive automatic vehicles for testing, transfer, and pick-up/delivery of parts.
• Manage inventory and order parts and supplies as needed.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to read and understand technical service manuals, repair orders, labels, and gauges (in English).
• Effective verbal communication skills in English, including using the telephone for ordering parts and supplies.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to operate both automatic and standard transmission vehicles weighing between 2,000 and 50,000 lbs.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, squat, lift (up to 50 lbs.), push, pull, climb, and lie on back in horizontal position for extended periods.
• Ability to hoist vehicles with a lift device using foot and arm pumping motions.
• Capability to lift and hold parts (weighing up to [insert weight]) in position while lying on back on a concrete floor.
• Work environment includes semi-enclosed structures and outdoor settings, involving chemical handling, gasoline/diesel fumes, and intermittent high noise levels.
• This is a full-time position, averaging 40 hours per week over a 5-day schedule.
