Emterra Environmental USA is seeking a reliable Mechanic Helper to support our shop team. You will assist technicians with inspections, maintenance, and basic repairs on vehicles and equipment, gaining hands-on skills and advancing toward a licensed technician role.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, familiarity with hand and power tools, and a valid driver's license. This entry-level position offers a competitive hourly wage of $18.36 and benefits, with first and second shifts

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Some experience with hand tools, power tools, or basic heavy‑duty diesel repair is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; chauffeur license preferred.
• Punctual, reliable and eager to learn with ability to follow safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Routine Maintenance: Perform basic services under supervision, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid top-offs.
• Assist with Repairs: Help mechanics disassemble and reassemble vehicle components, and hand tools and parts to the mechanic during active repair.
• Diagnostics Assistance: Aid in conducting vehicle inspections and basic troubleshooting to help identify mechanical issues.
• Shop Upkeep: Clean and organize the workspace, dispose of used fluids properly, and ensure that all tools and equipment are kept clean and safe.
• Inventory & Parts: Help track and log inventory, receive deliveries, and transport parts or materials to the workstations.
• Quality Assurance: Assist with road testing vehicles and verifying that repairs meet safety standards.
