Job summary

Custom Truck One Source in Orlando, FL is seeking a Mechanic Quality Control Technician with hands-on experience in aerial equipment, heavy trucks, or construction gear.

You will inspect, test, troubleshoot, and validate units to ensure safety, performance, and customer requirements prior to delivery, while documenting results and collaborating with service and management to drive continuous quality improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with heavy equipment, aerial devices, commercial trucks, diesel equipment, agricultural equipment, or related mechanical systems preferred.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and diesel systems.
• Proficient with computer applications.
• Valid driver's license required. CDL a plus
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must provide personal hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, mechanical, operational, and dielectric inspections on completed units.
• Conduct quality assurance testing to verify safety, performance, and compliance standards.
• Document inspection results, test data, and quality findings.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and assist in resolving quality and warranty-related issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and industry regulations.
• Investigate customer quality concerns and support corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain accurate quality records and inspection documentation.
• Collaborate with service, and management teams to improve product quality and reliability.
• Attend required safety meetings and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to safely perform duties while working at heights.
