Job summary

PURIS is hiring a Mechanic - Heavy Equipment in Clearwater, FL. You will perform repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, hydraulics, and electrical systems, and report issues to the Shop Manager. Must have 3+ years in industrial mechanical repairs and own basic tools.

Preferred experience includes heavy truck repair, boiler/steam truck and vac truck maintenance. Class C license required; rewards include comprehensive benefits and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience with industrial mechanical repairs.
• Heavy truck repair experience and PM system experience preferred.
• Own basic hand tools and ability to work in varied environments.
• Class C driver's license required.
• Experience with boiler/steam truck and vac truck maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain pumps, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled repairs.
• Repair and service equipment to ensure reliability and uptime.
• Schedule repairs and coordinate with the Shop Manager.
• Work afternoon shift and overtime when required.
• Follow safety and training requirements.

Job Summary:

The Mechanic will complete all repairs, preventative maintenance, programmed repairs and facility repairs to be in compliance with equipment/ facility reliability and standards. Maintenance mechanic will report any foreseeable problems to the Shop Manager.

Essential Job Accountabilities:

• General mechanical knowledge including pumps, hydraulics and electrical
• Basic welding knowledge and experience
• Good assembly skills
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs
• Experience with work order execution
• Has own basic tools
• Experience with safety training
• Facility repair experience.
• Keep up with training and process needs, requirements.
• Problem solve and root case diagnosis
• Communicates well and works in clean orderly manner
• Diagnose and manage employees projects
• Schedule repairs and maintenance of equipment
• Other duties as assigned
• Work afternoon shift and overtime when available.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Trade education in industrial mechanics (preferred)

Additional Requirements/Skills:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience with industrial mechanical repairs.
• Heavy truck repair experience. Must have Preventative Maintenance system experience.
• Possess own basic hand tools. Must be able to work in closed and open environments.
• Class C drivers license
• Experience with boiler/steam truck maintenance (preferred)
• Experience with vac truck maintenance (preferred)
