Job summary

Inland Deicing Services, LLC is seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Mechanic in the Philadelphia area to ensure the safe, efficient operation of deicing ground support equipment. The role involves scheduling maintenance, diagnosing electrical and hydraulic issues, and keeping meticulous service records.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18, and able to read and follow manuals in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to speak and hear efficiently.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Must read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English.
• Must verbally direct in English.
• Tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives.
• Knowledge and use of standard and specialty tools and testing equipment (photo tachometer, diagnostics tools, scanners, meters).
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for local maintenance scheduling and performance to ensure equipment dependability.
• Perform all duties of a skilled maintenance technician following procedures.
• Read and use maintenance manuals, schematics, blueprints and related documents.
• Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic problems and resolve within established timeframes.
• Maintain complete and accurate maintenance records and conduct inspections.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards and document outcomes.
