Job summary

Inland Deicing Services, LLC is hiring a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair ground service equipment and vehicles at the airport. You’ll troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems, read manuals and schematics, and keep precise maintenance records to ensure reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to speak and hear efficiently in English.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, schematics, blueprints and drawings.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic problems within established timeframes.
• Maintain complete and accurate maintenance records; conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English; verbally direct in English.
• Possess tact to interact with all levels of staff and clients; maintain confidentiality.
• Proven knowledge and use of standard and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment (photo tachometer, scanners, meters).
• A valid driver’s license is required; own tools up to 1" sockets and up to 1/2" drive.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform local maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
• Perform duties of a skilled maintenance technician per established procedures.
• Read and use manuals, catalogs, schematics, blueprints to complete tasks.
• Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic problems within specified timeframes.
• Maintain maintenance records and conduct inspections on equipment.
