Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries in Quincy, California is seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Mechanic for our sawmill. Earn $34.75 per hour with up to a $1,500 signing bonus.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems preferred.
• Fabrication and metal work experience is a plus.
• Proven prior experience working on various machines including the above equipment.
• All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on gas and propane forklifts, loaders, and other equipment.
• Recognize, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical defects.
• Conduct safety inspections and maintain maintenance records.
• Perform duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
• Occasional heavy lifting and working in hot and cold environments.
• Work various shifts, with overtime, weekends, and holidays during busy production times.

About The Position
