GROWMARK FS LLC in East Berlin, PA is seeking a Mechanic to schedule and perform vehicle and equipment repairs. You will maintain parts inventory and service records to ensure a compliant maintenance program.

The role requires a high school diploma and 5+ years of related experience, with skills in fabrication, welding, engine service, and hydraulic troubleshooting. CDL with HazMat optional; strong safety practices and DOT compliance are essential.

Responsibilities

• Schedules maintenance and repairs of vehicles and equipment as requested.
• Maintains an appropriate inventory of parts necessary for repairs and maintenance.
• Maintains service records of each piece of equipment and vehicle to document a quality maintenance program and meet DOT requirements.
• Responsible for the housekeeping of the shop.
• May be required to provide backup to drivers in the Energy and Crops Departments.
• Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures.

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 5 years or more of related work experience.

Required skills include fabrication, cutting, welding, bearing replacement, engine service/maintenance/adjustments (both gas & diesel), automotive electrical, brake adjustment/repair (both mechanical & air) and hydraulic troubleshooting/repair.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record

Normally requires an acceptable CDL with Hazmat and tanker endorsements

Frequently exposed or required to:

• Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
• Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures
• May be required to work at varying heights
• Confined spaces
• Required to push heavy objects

Ability to work extended hours.

Ability to travel independently and overnight.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
