About The Job:

The General Maintenance position is an entry-level role responsible for assisting with general tasks around the worksite. This role requires little to no prior experience and serves as an introduction to the industry. Under supervision, the helper may assist with minor preventative maintenance tasks and learn basic job functions. The primary goal is to assess the employee's potential for long-term growth within the company.

What You'll Do:
Safety and Compliance
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE and following MSHA/OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain a high level of situational awareness to prevent accidents and ensure safety.
  • Report safety concerns, incidents, or equipment malfunctions promptly.
Equipment Maintenance
  • Follow preventative maintenance schedules for equipment to prevent unexpected breakdowns, which may involve small component changes, fluid changes, or minor tear-downs.
  • Perform housekeeping tasks such as removing debris, dust, and sediment from machines, especially crushers and screening equipment.
  • Ensure all tools and materials are in good condition before starting maintenance tasks.
Assist and Collaborate on Work
  • Follow instructions and work plans to ensure efficient transportation of materials.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers to ensure safe and efficient material movement.
Qualifications:

Skills You'll Need:

  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience: Some experience in maintenance, preferably around heavy equipment and machines.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Valid Driver's License.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of safety protocols and MSHA/OSHA regulations.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work with others and manage time effectively.
  • Physical ability to climb equipment and handle heavy loads.

What You'll Like About Us:

The hourly range for this role is $22.21 to $29.04, excluding bonuses or equity. Night shift employees receive a 10% shift differential.
