Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for Barnes-Jewish Hospital's Facilities Engineering team. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing equipment and building systems across the hospital complex, with a 2nd shift from 2:30pm to 11pm, Tuesday through Saturday.

Training on first shift during the initial 3 months will be provided. Responsibilities include responding to service calls, emergency readiness, and performing scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-5 years experience in maintenance/engineering.
• Associate or trade school education preferred.
• Willingness to perform on-call maintenance and respond to service calls.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Providing Maintenance and Engineering service and responding to service calls throughout the Hospital complex. Performs accurate and effective repairs on equipment and building systems that are considered to be within his/her capability and calls in more qualified personnel when repairs are beyond his/her capability. Performs other tasks as directed by the General Maintenance Shop Lead and Supervisor.
