Overview

Primary Responsibilities

• Welding gates and operators into place
• Wiring and programming operators
• Installing operating system and/or mechanical tracks for gate system
• Assembling gates and fastening them into position
• Establishing the location for gate and gathering information needed to ensure there are no electric cables or water lines in the area
• Digging holes using spades, posthole diggers, excavators or power‑driven augers mounted to skid loaders
• Mixing and pouring concrete around bases of posts and/or pedestals
• Constructing and repairing barriers

Qualifications

• Minimum Experience: 2 – 5 years industry experience (preferred). Best candidates will have an aptitude for construction and reading plans, be able to work with low voltage electrical systems and have a mechanical background.
• Relevant experience: garage/overhead door technicians, mechanics, and/or low voltage electricians.
• Ability to fix any type of mechanical system (many technicians have experience repairing cars and trucks).
• Required: weld and wire low voltage electrical systems. Valid driver's license required.
