  • Diesel Tech Trainee positions pay weekly
  • Hourly pay: $20.00
  • Sign-on bonus: $2000 at 30 days and $2000 at 90 days
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends off
  • Hours: Second shift, 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Zero to one year of mechanical experience with diesel engines preferred
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Proficiency in English communication

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly
  • Work independently and as part of a team

  • Knowledge of machines, tools, and shop systems (preferred)
  • Valid CDL Class A (preferred)

Regulated Tech Requirements:

  • Obtain CDL within 6 months
  • Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background check

Additional requirements may vary by location.

Responsibilities

  • Move and wash vehicles, fuel diesel, natural gas, and hybrids, record activity, manage inventories
  • Perform multi-point inspections and report issues
  • Maintain fuel island and perform minor facility maintenance
  • Complete all training and assessments
  • Perform other duties as assigned
